Life’s difficulties, our expectations and our level of acceptance
Life is difficult. But as Eckhart Tolle says, when you come to the conclusion that life is difficult, it is not difficult anymore, because the greatest difficulty is the mental resistance to things that arise and the underlying assumption that they should not.
Once you have a surrendered relationship with the present moment, then it is not really that difficult anymore. You can, during a turmoil, still be connected with the being within yourself.
Core stillness is the source of satisfaction.
Life will challenge you with its small and big difficulties, but you do not get upset when things do not go the way you planned or when people do not behave the way they “should” behave.
It is easier when you no longer demand things to be different from what they are.
